On Wednesday March 1, 2017, the Lord called Alfred Reid Howard Jr. home. The beloved son of the late Marion Howard and Alfred R. Howard Sr. Born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on October 4, 1957, he received his education at Ahoskie High School. He later attended Elizabeth City State University and Electronic Institute of Technology to further his education. He then proceeded a career in computer engineering, retiring from L3 Services Company.
As a youth, he became a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He later became a member of Silver Spring Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Alfred was predeceased by his mother Marion Simmons Howard and daughter, Kelsa Howard.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty Howard; daughters, Mitsico Brown-Brinson and Jennifer Hemmings; son, Alfred R. Howard, III (Amber Smith), father, Alfred R. Howard, Sr. (Bessie); grandchildren, Jakobe Howard, Jaxon Howard and Skye Brinson; sisters, Kimberly Howard, Angela Reid (Danny), Lisa Howard and Tina Lawton (William); brothers, Gerald Howard (Catherine), Alfred White, Mark White, Nicholas 0. White and Philip Howard; mother-inlaw, Bettie Bailey; brother-in-laws, William Bailey, Henry Bailey and Alvin Bailey; sister-in-law, Sally Bailey and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
