Elliott Holly Ford was born in Washington, DC on May 7, 1940 and attended Roosevelt High School. He attended, and graduated from Central State University in Wilberforce, OH. He became a member of the Silver Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity in 1979. Elliott later helped to charter the College Park/Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
Elliott entered the Army in January of 1963 and served for almost 20 years. He achieved the rank of Major while enlisted. Elliott received a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service, National Defense Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary, Vietnam Gallantry Cross and other medals of merit while enlisted.
Following his service to his country, Elliott worked in secrity positions including at the Washington Hospital Center.
Elliott married LaVerne Ann Brown, who predeceased him in 2000. Elliott is survived by his stepdaughter Karen Brown Glover (Tyrone) and her son Brandon. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Ford-Foster and her children Holly and Mark; and many other relatives and friends.
